Preventing pellet loss into the environment
Spill of plastic granules (for example pellets) can occur at all stages along the plastics value chain, including production, handling, transportation, conversion and recycling. Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) is an international program designed to prevent the loss of these plastic granules.

The methodology included in this program has already helped to implement effective corrective actions in many companies in the plastics industry worldwide. By signing the OCS pledge, companies recognize the importance of preventing spill by implement measures to fulfil commitments of this program. Operation Clean Sweep® works through simple, but efficient measures. For example improvement of worksite set-ups, internal clean-up and disposal routines, employee training, internal audits and encouragement of business partners to pursue the same goal – all in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
